David Hildick-Smith, MD, FRCP, FSCAI

David Hildick-Smith is a Professor of Interventional Cardiology and Consultant Cardiologist at the Sussex Cardiac Centre - the Regional Specialist Unit. He is Director of the Cardiac Research, ex-Treasurer of the British Cardiovascular Interventions Society, and, with more than 20 years experience of Interventional Cardiology, is considered one of the country's leading experts in management of Cardiovascular complaints.

A pioneer of Interventional Cardiology, Professor Hildick-Smith is recognised internationally as a leader in cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment. Author of more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, he is invited regularly to lecture worldwide on coronary and structural heart disease.

 

He is on the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, is ex-Treasurer of the British Cardiovascular Interventional Society, and is an Associate Director of the world's premier Cardiac Interventions conference - TCT. Voted by his peers as one of the Top Ten Cardiologists in the UK, Dr Hildick-Smith is recognised by patients and peers alike as an outstanding diagnostician and highly skilled interventionist.
